This august I will be programming the summer school for the Amsterdam Museum in the Hermitage Museum. I developed a 1 day photography / visual arts programma around the exhibition Hollandse Meesters Her-Zien where I will be teaching Photography and visual artist Airich will be teaching a collage workshop both themed around a positive future perspective.
The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam invited me to be one of the artists teaching 3 classes during their Summerschool for youths. The themes of the summer school are set up around the main exhibition of Nam June Paik. I’m very happy to be collaborating with the Stedelijk Museum again. Due to the covid-19 crisis the group show in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Teekenschool has been extended until September 2020. Selected works of mine are on display. You can visit the exhibition for free every day until 16:00 at Hobbemastraat 25, 1071 XZ Amsterdam.
I’m very excited to share that I have been nominated for The Berry Koedam Award by the Witte de With gallery in Rotterdam. The Berry Koedam Award is an award that uniquely centers on the influence that visual documentation has in the public’s experience of contemporary art. The winner will be announced this autumn.
The Rijksmuseum selected me as one of the jurors for the 12th annual photo competition Document Nederland Junior. A national photo competition for high school students. The master and inspiration photographer of this years competition is photographer Dustin Thierry. Dustin is a friend of mine and I adore his work. I’m excited that our paths now cross professionally and I’m looking forward to go through the submissions and select a winner with a team of professionals. The winner will be announced the beginning of July and will be honored with an exhibition in the museum and a payed assignment for the Rijksmuseum.
